Emma Watson was a surprising casting choice, but played the role very well. [^2]: Having the ability to empathize with other humans made the entire John Wick series hard to watch. The first movie was at least justifiable, and in fact, I don't believe John Wick went far enough to get revenge. [^3]: Has aged extremely poorly, but still decent if you can place yourself in its time period. [^4]: Couldn't get into it. The concept is good as is the acting, I just don't find the execution that great. At the same time, I don't know how I would change it. [^5]: Quite memorable, more of a film to watch with the family on Thanksgiving than anything else. Worth seeing at least once or twice if you haven't. [^6]: Execution was worse than Darkest Hour. Cinematography, I felt, was lacking compared to Darkest Hour. Standing on its own, which I do not feel was the intent, it is a solid movie about the war. If it were to be ranked on its own, it would be far lower than it presently is. [^7]: They should've stopped here. After the first installment of a series where the main character is revealed to be invincible, anything afterward subtracts from its value. I appreciate the universe and lore of the series, and to some extent am happy that it was developed further, but the whole thing is dragged down by having an invincible MC. [^8]: I can at least say that I feel this was slightly less blatant cold war propaganda than Red Dawn (1984). It's also just a better movie than Red Dawn (1984) and has a much better soundtrack. Could've used Patrick Swayzee though. [^9]: I feel that the film is heavily overrated by people who have never seen it. The casting of Christian Bale was absolutely perfect. It has generated some of the greatest memes of all time. The people who seem to enjoy it most today are Men who have no positive role models. [^10]: Starring Patrick Swayzee :) [^11]: I found the character portrayed by Simon Pegg to be insufferable, and as a result, I didn't even finish the movie. The cinematography was great as was the acting. I just couldn't stand Pegg's character. [^12]: Even though it isn't even remotely historically accurate, it's got enough going that it is a genuinely enjoyable film. Russel Crowe was a great casting for this role. [^13]: Is nothing sacred??? Why must we drag down a movie's legacy with crude attempts at immitation? Even less historically accurate than the original. Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal being in it was honestly the only reason I gave it my time. Very shoddy writing. [^14]: One of the rare works that manages to portray autism well. [^15]: Not as strong of a story as the original, but still was quite enjoyable. You absolutely need to (re)watch the original before seeing it. [^16]: It's one of those movies that's somehow so bad and unrealistic, that it winds up being somewhat enjoyable. I'm still not sure who the target audience is. [^17]: Fuck... 2016 was almost 10 years ago... I've admittedly got a bit of a crush on Benedict Cumberbatch so that probably biases this ranking. [^18]: Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway were amazing castings for their respective roles. I remember being quite angry about the film's ending when I first saw it, but I can no longer recall why. This is a must-watch. [^19]: Wonderful soundtrack, beautiful presentation. [^20]: Alan Turing is a personal hero of mine, and I've got a bit of a crush on Cumberbatch, so this is higher than it really has any right to be. [^21]: Austin Powers is another movie that should've stopped after the first installment. It is watchable, but not executed as well as the original film. [^22]: I had to force myself to finish this. Do not recommend whatsoever.
